We have an immediate(August, 2017) opportunity for an R&D / Product Development Product Development Engineer who'll lead projects and be deeply involved in product development and product design for a medical device company in Southwest Florida - we are actively interviewing prospective and qualified candidates now.

The position is based near Tampa, FL - relocation will be provided for qualified candidates.

To be considered, let's start with the basics - you need to have the following background:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering  

Product development experience is required - you must have a combination of internship / co-op experience as well as a minimum of 2 years experience in a Product Development Engineering role with a medical device company - applicable product lines include orthopedic device, implants - materials include metals, plastics, ceramics, etc.

Experience with DFM(design for manufacturability), Design for Six Sigma, and Design of Experiments

Must be super proficient with CAD software - SolidWorks, ProEngineer, CATIA

Experience working in a manufacturing environment - can be with internal manufacturing teams or contract manufacturing partners

Experience with working against FDA regulatory requirements within medical device during the product development process for Class I and Class II medical devices.
